Safe Work Practices

Our workplace must be able to operate safely.

PPE as optional for staff, but the overarching safety measures are Hygiene and Ability to refuse site access for anyone presenting ANY cold and flu symptoms.

To reduce the risk to our people and customers we will:

  • Identify and manage any high-risk employees/staff/ clients (e.g. immune-compromised, respiratory issues).
  • This includes the questioning of recent whereabouts, and if they have recently come out of either self-isolation, managed quarantine, or from a region with Alert Level 3 or higher.
  • Keep a minimum of one metre between workers and in a controlled environment, a minimum of one metre between workers and customers.
  • To ensure good hygiene practices in the workplace we will:
    • Wash hands regularly.
    • Sneeze/cough into our elbow.
    • Ensure workers have access to hand sanitizer, soap and water.
    • Regularly disinfect/clean high use areas (e.g. shared communal spaces, counters, kitchen areas, bathrooms, light switches and touchpoints, and door-knobs).
  • Make sure workers have the right PPE and know how to use it effectively.

    • Sanitise pre and post-task.
    • Masks (not recommended unless you are working with identified high-risk areas or people) only if preferred
  • Look after the mental health of staff:
    • Many employees will be worried about their future employment, personal finances, their ability to work, using new technology and ways of working (e.g. online meetings) etc.
